"Funding cooperation": Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme Conference 2014


Environmental Development Association participated in Baltic Sea Region Programme (2014-2020) Conference on 26th - 27th November 2014 in Warsaw, Poland.

Conference was opened by Ms Dorota Pyc (Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Development, Poland), Ms Lena Andersson Pench (Director, Territorial Co-operation, Marco-regions and North-West Europe, DG Regional and Urban Policy, European Comission) and Mr Erk Westermann-Lammers (Chairman of the Executive Board, Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein, Managing Authority).

Three projects - three success stories of the Baltic Sea Region Programme (2007-2013) was presented during the Conference: "BaltSeaPlan", "Scandria" and "StarDust". Project managers and partners shared project results and perspectives after the end of the projects.

Baltic Sea Region Programme (2014-2020) focuses on four objectives:

The Programme cooperation area covers 11 countries, 8 of the EU Member States and 3 partner countries:

The Programme funding (2014-2020) awailability as following:

- European Regional Development Fund (ERDF): 263.8 million EUR

- European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI): 8.8 million EUR (subject to signing of the Financing agreement)

- Norwegian national funding: 6.0 million EUR

For priorities 1-3 the Programme co-funds:

- up to 75% of costs for partners from Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Finland

- up to 85% of costs for partners from Estonia, Latvia and Poland

- up to 50% of costs for partners from Norway

Programme financial and cooperational conditions for Russia and Belorus are at the agreement stage.

Second day of the conference was devoted to practicalities as for example project proposal compillation reccomendations and structure, project budgeting, communication and result orientation conditions.
