About The Project
Project „Submariner – Sustainable Uses of Baltic Marine Resources” has been approved within the Baltic Sea Region Programme.
It’s aim is to develop the Baltic Sea region into a European model region for a sustainable sea management by fostering its sustainable economical development and improving its environmental conditions through the support and development of new maritime products and technologies.
Project focuses on:
- sustainable aqua/mariculture uses (micro – and macroalgae, mussels, fish, reed) by using new technologies for energy production and eutrophication reduction;
- waves as a source of renewable energy;
- use of marine microorganisms for energy, pharmaceutical, cosmetic or food industries.
